The black sand of Kehena Beach

Perched perfectly within the gentle environment of Big Island, Kehena Beach is amongst those unofficial sites where naturism is allowed. The vast stretch of black sand actually adds more to its brilliance and it is a different site altogether. The beach is frequently visited by local people beside that it is a homeland of Spinner dolphins.

The historical account along with geographical chronology states that the beach was formed in 1955 when molten lava flowed down from the cliffs of the sea. At the eastern tip you would still see the beauty of the lava that continuous to drench down.

The beach activities includes swimming, nude bathing, sand walk etc and around its periphery you would find nothing but a piece of nature where peace prevails in common. The naturism is fully allowed but it can’t be forced to anyone and if you only wish to enjoy the vibe of the surroundings than it’s perfectly fine.

During day time an atmosphere of beach becomes lively with people coming around from different parts to enjoy the glory beside that the fringes of coconut and sways of ironwood tree gives you an opportunity to feel its tranquility. The trend of nudism is very interesting here and you would find people with no clothes taking on vast stretch of beach to live the moment of their life. If you wish to do the same then you are most welcome because naturism is something that would make your experience different here at Kehena Beach.
