Romano’s, the specialty Italian restaurant, at the JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar is all set to bring to the table a unique, first of its kind experience with edible distilled fragrances. These perfumes, distilled in-house by Chef Roberto have used authentic Italian herbs such as Thyme, Rosemary, and Oregano. This sensory dining experience called Aromas created after numerous days of research will allow the guests to pair select fragrances with the food ordered from an exclusive ala carte menu. Each pairing would promise a new experience in each morsel. Chef Roberto’s brainchild, Aromas, will be spearheaded by himself between 26th May 2017 and 4th June 2017. The never-done-before concept looks to flawlessly bring together a new dimension of innovation and conventional Italian food.
The specially curated a la carte menu will feature an elaborate variety of antipasti (appetizers) such as Butternut squash and almonds with goat’s cheese, Baby Burrata with lychee, Pan seared boneless chicken wings with house-made barbeque sauce and Tuna tartar with avocado and yogurt. Main courses like Orzotto with Portobello mushrooms, House made Tagliolini pasta with lamb and wild mushroom ragout, House made potato Gnocchi with mascarpone, Parmesan and assorted nuts and Risotto sundried tomato and confit chicken, Chilean Sea bass steak with eggplant. To complete this exquisite menu, a variety of Dolce (dessert) such as the Deconstruction tiramisu will be amongst the other decadents.
“Romano’s has always been true to its cuisine by offering traditional Italian cuisine and has believed in sustainable innovation. This concept looks to explore a new dimension of innovation without deviating from the core philosophy of the restaurant. Years of being in the kitchen has taught me that food is all about involving all your senses. This concept will be about interacting with food,” said Chef Roberto Zorzolli.
